Heat Recovery & Energy Efficiency.
The Ariosa DOT is equipped with a high-efficiency sensible counterflow heat exchanger that recovers thermal energy from the outgoing exhaust air and transfers it to the incoming fresh air stream. As warm indoor air containing moisture, CO₂ and other pollutants is extracted from the room, it passes through the heat exchanger, where its heat is transferred to the cooler incoming fresh air without the two airflows mixing.
This process pre-warms the incoming air before it enters the living space, helping to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures while reducing ventilation-related heat loss. This results in extremely high heat recovery performance, with values that can exceed 90% efficiency.
The result is a healthier indoor environment, lower heating demand and reduced energy consumption, making the Ariosa DOT an ideal solution for modern energy-efficient homes and buildings.
To limit energy consumption, the European Union has implemented the Delegated Regulation 1254/2014, which regulates the labeling of energy consumption in residential ventilation units.
The energy classes indicated are determined by a specific parameter: the specific energy consumption, or SEC. This value makes it possible to compare the energy performance of different units in kWh per m² per year.
